Look at their faces and ...

visualize them in happy homes, loved and well cared for, as you see this image taking hold feel in your heart immense love for all creatures here on Earth. Thank you - it will work, when you get a whole bunch of bleeding hearts together - we can move mountains and help create more love.

Still no help at Coweta AC for the remaining dogs from the euthanasia list of 12/11!!  We have been lucky, and these 5 dogs have remained in a holding pattern, but they could be euthanize at any time...they are not safe and will not be safe until they are out of the shelter.

These are wonderful, beautiful dogs that have been constantly overlooked in a crowded shelter.  Their lives are hanging by a thread, and without rescue or adopters, they may not make it to 2016.

Will you be the one able to help just one of them?  We can pull, arrange boarding and vetting, and will take care of heartworm treatment for the dogs that are positive.  There are sponsorship offers, and we help with fundraising.

They have waited so very long...please don't let them die now...they deserve a new start in the new year.

We are also asking for support in our "Empty the Shelter" campaign.  Please share our fundraiser, and if you can spare a few dollars (and could use an end of the year tax deduction), here's the link to our You Caring; all donations go to Newnan Coweta Humane Society and are to help the shelter pets of Coweta County:

There is this dog...

That was attacked in the shelter by a female dog, she left a slow healing wound on his side - its not getting better in a cold non sterile kennel. He needs to be in a home, in rescue or foster, he needs a little TLC that can't be afforded in shelter.

Please think about this for one moment. Realize what time of the year this is - it is most definitely a time for miracles. I for one believe in things that I can't explain and really looking forward to miracles happening for this guy. But no one will ever know of his plight if you don't help spread the word of his need.

In my email inbox I go through so many requests for animals that sometimes all I can do is cry. I will type on this old keyboard until my finger tips are sore and bleeding. I will tell everyone who speaks of breeding animals of those who are killed in shelters to make room for the puppies they can't sell or someone buys and dumps after the 'puppy' wears off.

Here is the story that came with Droopy's name:

HELP!!!!

This sweet boy is Droopy. Droopy has been in the shelter for 51 days now
and he is heart worm negative. Unfortunately, a dog slipped out of her
kennel last week and attacked Droopy. The bite wound was bad and had some
necrotic tissue, so our vet is allowing the wound to heal open. He is on
medications and is having his wound cleaned, but he needs to be out of the
shelter. No matter how hard we work to keep his would clean, he is still in a
concrete kennel in the shelter which certainly can't be a good thing when you
have a large wound on your side. Please share Droopy's photo and
information. If Droopy is adopted/ rescued, the shelter will be happy to pay for his
neuter.

Be bless,

Please help me help him by sharing this blog post with your social media friends. You will be surprised how miracles work, you will feel blessed if that miracle came from your action of help.

May you have the very best of holidays and may Droopy heal!

Beltania and Adorable sitting in a tree...

K-i-s-s-i-n-g
     First comes Love...

They love each other, they know they do they are just playing sly. Grooming each other has been witnessed, Adorable will follow Belle all over the room and property, he will also run off any other suitors. Yes he is neutered - it goes beyond a sexual drive, it is a love bond.

Both of them are in pain right now. Beltania suffers from flea bite dermatitis in a horrible way and Adorable has something very wrong with his ears that can't be healed w/out medical attention.

Beltania takes medicine that gives her some relief but if you could feel her skin and all the scabs from her constantly scratching are horrible. She has a look of misery in her eyes.

Her meds are getting very low, she does have 2 refills left - just need to acquire the funds to do so with.

The extent of damage in his ears warranted the dog formula Pyrethrin medicine. The cat formula was 0.05 mg of drug vs this dog formula 0.06 mg Pyrethrin. The cat formula gave direction at 5 drops per ear for a couple of days and then repeat if not cleared. The dog formula calls for 5 drops as well, Adorable is getting 2 drops twice a day for 3 days then a rest only applying mineral oil in an attempted to suffocate mites and soothe irritation. It doesn't help matters that he will dust himself outside very well and his ears are black inside upon checking them. Some of what is seen on the Q-tip is dirt (or rather mud sludge), but the red tint there - that is from the mites biting the insides of his ears plus him digging at them.

((In the good news department; a lawyer has been hired for final appeal on disability, according to the lawyer, we have an excellent case) ((big smile))

Please, if you can afford a dollar or two we would greatly appreciate it and ask that you share our plight with your friends and associates. Gargoyles Animal Rescue and Dragon Sanctuary is a godsend for the animals, and will be a force to be reckoned with in the very near future!

Beltania needs a shot, she received one earlier this year - it lasted two months and cost like $12.00, she needs that - which entails an office visit for the Rx shot, good food, and a refill of her Buspirone. Flea preventative is a must for her.

Adorable needs medical attention, he needs a vet to diagnose his ears and prescribe some medicine that will aid in destroying what ever is attacking his poor ears. He is already sounding like he is deaf, you know how that sounds - like someone who can't hear their own voice.

Adoption Policy Change

Starting January 1st, 2016 our rescue will charge adoption fees and may ask for part of that up front to fuel home checks. All the particulates haven't been drawn out yet but it is decided that the fee will be determined by species of animal. All transactions will be documented for protection of 1.) adopter of animal companion, 2.) animal rescue, and 3.) animal being adopted.

Canines - $200.00
Felines - $100.00

A portion of this fee can be asked for in advance, this advancement will usually cover any shots or preventative medicine the animal may need to start life in your home - with your family.

Animals that have had extensive training, medical attention, or the like may be higher than $200. Depending on several factors an animal may demand a more tailored contract. In any case the amount of monies listed with this animal deems this not a price for the animal. Gargoyles Animal Rescue adopts out this animal to (you), this animal with vested interest in said animal's daily care and overall wellness of body, mind, and spirit of this animal for it tout de suite for the rest of the animal's days on Earth from this date forth:__________, the amount of monies released from adopter covers some of the funds associated with this animal's time at Gargoyles Animal Rescue, which enables continued animal rescuing efforts.

Well hello there Mr Frog!

This morning I did a double take and a quick 'stage left' when I found a frog in the kitchen sink, not because I am afraid or squeamish to such critters - this one was large and like no other frog I have ever seen before. It looked like a toad with bumps on its back and legs and the most peculiar dark markings on a brownish colored body. As soon as I went to pick him up I realised this was no toad, he felt like a tree frog and then I noticed the tips of his toes which is a sure fire indicator of 'tree frog'.

A few photos inside and quickly captured and relocated this guy to the front porch for more photographs.

The drain makes him look small, he was fairly big for a tree frog.

I found the Cuban Tree Frog and thought this was a match. I dug some more to be sure and found the Cope's Grey Tree Frog, feel very confident in this guy being a Cope's and not a Cuban .

When a new (as in not seen everyday or frequently), species makes its presence known to me I look to try and understand what their message is to me. The meaning of a tree frog (according to); Animal Spirit Guides.

Frog's Wisdom Includes:
  • Reminder of common bonds with all life
  • Singer of songs that celebrate the most ancient watery beginnings
  • Transformation
  • Cleansing
  • Understanding emotions
  • Rebirth

Thank you Jonathan Slone of the University of Georgia!

Description: Gray Treefrogs are the fairly large tree frogs (1.25 - 2 in; 3.2 - 5.1 cm) with large toe pads and granular skin. They are heavier-bodied than Pine Woods or Squirrel Treefrogs, with which they can be confused. They vary in color from mottled gray to light green but their color can change depending on environment and activity. There is usually a light spot beneath eye and the inner thigh is bright yellow or orange when exposed.

Range and Habitat: Gray Treefrogs are found throughout the Southeast except for peninsular Florida including nearly all of SC and GA. This is the most common treefrog species in the Piedmont and Mountain regions of our area. They are found in a variety of wooded habitats but are most common in mature deciduous forest. Gray Treefrogs generally breed in fishless wetlands.

Habits: Gray Treefrogs spend much of the year high in trees and are most often encountered during the breeding season, when they call from vegetation surrounding wetlands. Breeding lasts from March to August, but calling is most intense in the early summer. Gray Treefrogs generally spend the day hiding in tree holes or other secluded areas and emerge at night to feed on insects and small invertebrates.

Call: Call is a musical trill.

Interesting Facts: Hyla chrysoscelis is morphologically indistinguishable from H. versicolor and two species are also sympatric throughout much of their ranges. Once thought to be single species, recent genetic work revealed H. chrysoscelis to be diploid and H. versicolor to be tetraploid. Two species are best distinguished by call; H. chrysoscelis has a faster trill than H. versicolor.

Safety Tip: This species of frog produces a toxic skin secretion that can cause extreme discomfort to the eyes, lips, mucus lining of the nose, or open cuts and abrasions. Careful hand washing is advised for anyone after handling gray treefrogs.

Conservation Status: Gray Treefrogs are common and not protected in our region.

Coweta County Kitties - Desperately needing HELP!!!

These 5 precious lives are still very much at risk...they have been given reprieves since 11/20, but there has been no interest in them, and we only have until close of business today to place them!

We will take care of all vetting for them for any reputable rescue that can help them.  Newnan Coweta Humane works so hard at placing the cats and kitties and is still the only rescue group the pulls the pets from the euthanasia list on a regular basis.

We are totally maxxed out, and have no place for these 5 to go, and they will die tonight if we cannot find some help.  They have been waiting for so long...please, can you take just one?  We are begging for their lives.

Contact me NOW if you can help!!
