4r5 is what he typed

The one we have been calling "Oliver" just went across the keyboard with a few digits that made a cool looking design as they disappeared into the 'title' area. This cat really wants to be part of a family again. I'll do what I can. I can type and bring awareness to one's individual plight. Will my words change his circumstances? Well yes, they will, they already have. I've invested energy into him, there already is a change in that if - nothing else.

Isn't he a cutie? We think he is worth our time and energy, we need to get him neutered, wormed, vaccinated and into a home. Please share his plight with your friends. If you care about animals - please help us - help them. Can you invite 'Oliver 4r5' into your home, can you incur the costs associated with bringing him up to a decent standard of living. Would you be able to if it was just $5.00 a month, how about $10.00 a month. Sponsorship on one or more animals in our rescue would enable us to do more than what we already do.

World's Best Cat Litter

For the past two weeks the main key puncher here has been smoking those keys with lightening fast whips from the underside of unpolished nails. Writing to companies from their websites, not just any or all companies, but the manufacturer or distributor of merchandise we regular use or desire to use.

The results are starting to come in, already we have received over $30.00 in coupons on products we would be purchasing anyway. By these companies replying in kind they will continue to see our support, our continuing purchases (with or without coupon), and most importantly good words about them, their product, or their impact on us and/or our world.

Yesterday 5 coupons came in an envelope from Kent Pet Group, each coupon is worth $5.00 off a bag of The World's Greatest Cat Litter. A $25.00 value in one fell swoop and given the amazing staying power of this litter, our rescue is set for months in the cat litter department. Thank you World's Best Cat Litter.

They are 1 of our 2 favorite cat litters, the other being Blue Buffalo Black Walnut. Either of these litters make the cats real happy to visit their box(es), as absolutely no dust settles on everything in the room afterwards (that settling of dust would include the lungs of all inhabitants as well).

We do have concern for their product clearly being GMO (Genetically Modified Organism), having numerous references to developed cancer in the consumption of product.  We are praying that association isn't as readily transferable.

Can we say "over-full"?

The whole rescue operation is living in a bedroom of a friend's house and still more animals are showing up - and  us without a means of income, a means to vet what we have - much less anyone else.

We have animals available for adoption but no one eligible has applied here in Georgia. We are in dire straits for this young man who has decided there is enough kindness here to keep his interest in this geographical location.

((Note here: if you do not teach your dog respect for other animals the one who will ultimately suffer the most is the untrained animal.))

Received a letter from someone who came across our Rescue Me page on that website, the letter was pleading for a dog (write up on facebook- most people's only form of communication now days). A return letter was sent back outlining our own dire straits which wasn't exactly necessary but had a small amount of therapy added to it. Self therapy that is.

Beltania needs vet care, she suffers from flea bite dermatitis and is plagued by the blood sucking bastards here like no where else. She needs flea prevention and steroids to get better.

This new guy my friend dubbed "Oliver" needs his nuts cut out in a bad way - he doesn't understand our ladies will never be receptive to his advances and the boys will always hiss at him until his stinky sacs are removed.

He is endangering his meal ticket and warm crate by stalking Bella.

Its official - G.A.R. is in an alternate reality - Mewen met his doppelganger this weekend!

A doppelganger is a reflective animation of ourselves, to meet yours is a treat, but also very dangerous and we are taking that part into account and treading around this whole subject as effectively as possible.

Saturday morning Ms Lisa awakened 'me' (Sheila), out of a solid slumber to the amazement that she was able to actually hold one of the orphaned feral kitties rescued a little over a year ago. Most all the kitties are terrified of humans and Ms Lisa is no exception. She commented that the kitty she was holding wasn't 'in fact' one of G.A.R. kitties. Taking another look at the kitty in her arms and a confirmation was decreed by me until my gaze swept across the bed and the real Mewen still laying by my side made me do a double take to the cat Ms Lisa was holding in her arms. It wasn't Mewen, it was a cat that looked so much like him that it wasn't even funny - it was eerie.

Mrs Lisa no doubt did some serious damage to the little guy's thinking brain as she promptly took him back outside where she found him and tried to scare him away. To make matters worse I used Georgia to punctuate Lisa's action. I feel bad for doing such. The little guy for whatever reason looked to us for sanctuary or at least a kind word and hand. We showed him neither, and that alarmed me that I was falling back into the horrible mind set that I had when I left this area ten years ago.

When I collected my correct thoughts I was amazed at how closely the two cats resemble each other. This visitor is a male, intact, and has an issue with ear mites - Mrs Lisa clued me in on that observation. Pictures were taken and the visitor is the one without a collar on, Mewen has on a orange cat safety collar with bell (for protecting the animals he would try to prey upon).

Mrs Lisa's husband says that the cat belongs to our neighbors, so eventually (like maybe today), I need to get myself over to his 'home' and get with the people on the things that he needs. Neutering and treatment of the ear mites along with vaccinations and a happy home where he doesn't go looking for affection where it is evidently given.
